What the Yahoo posters think of EXLN, Part 5:

First of all, the partnership with NEON was not for ObjectStore (the ODBMS), but for the B2B Integration Server. NEON technology will become part of the B2B Integration Server from EXLN. So, it definitely is not a telecom deal. The two companies will collaborate on B2B products and solutions.

How is EXLN used? Well, this varies. In the Extensibility partnership, that is more knowledge sharing. EXLN's data model is based on schema (read the W3C XML Schema specs for more information) as opposed to DTD's or other mechanisms. Extensibility is big in the schema space. Hence, that's where they fit in.

EcomXML is a consulting company. It fits in just like EXLN's other consulting partners like Cambridge Technology, iXL, Razorfish, etc. They have license to resell EXLN products as part of their custom solutions for their clients.
