I would not sit on the dais of a University which teaches the following: "The Pope is the greatest danger we face today. The papacy is the religion of the Antichrist. It's a Satanic system. We believe that the Lord God creates races with distinction, three races, Caucasian, Negroes, Oriental, and they shouldn't be dating." Teachings of Bob Jones (1982) (still required learning today at the University). Could the Grand Kleagle of the KKK have put it better? Even if Bush in his heart disagrees with this (and his appearance at BJU shows he can't disagree too heartily), where is his political judgment? How does he think this nation's 75 million Catholics can stomach this?
