Paul, thanks for the history lesson, but if I wanted history I would have stayed awake during class. As a investor one is always trying to look forward rather than backwards. What's different now from one, two, five and ten yrs ago is that AMD is now currently and for the near future the worlds largest producer of flash. Flash will be such a huge contributor to AMD'S bottom line that AMD probably won't have to make a cent from processors in 4q-00 and AMD will still whup Intel's ass (at todays share values) for ROI FOR 4Q-00. Also if you feel strongly that AMD will return to approximately $15/share in the near future then put your money where your mouth is. I'd be happy to bet that AMD WILL not be under $20/share for the next two years. How can you lose? You got history on your side.

Paul, it used to be that AMD lost $; it used to be that AMD had the slower cpu; it used to be that you would say "occasionally AMD would blip up to the $30's but always returned to the $15 range....".

Times have changed.....its good to see that you remain flexible. I wonder what will change next....maybe the part where AMD always returns to $15?

Hi Paul:

You keep relying on ancient, in this industry anyway, information...but I do have to say the numbers posted by you are interesting, if only because of the role reversal between the two companies that we have witnessed over the past 6 months...Now just what was Intel's price on Feb 2/00, (within the past 6 months and on the day that you thought AMD at $35-11/16's was pricey...and just where did Intel close on Feb. 18/00 when AMD closed at $40.25, about 15% higher than your ceiling quote 2 weeks before?

Paulie, Paulie, Paulie...aren't you hearing the footsteps yet? If not, you'll be feeling the footprints on your back before Y2000 has run its course!
