If I recall- McCain skipped Iowa to hit NH hard. Spent big bucks and a lot of time there. NH is a tiny state. More cows there than people.

Based on his strategy of strategic bursts in unimportant states- He can possibly take Vermont, Nevada, and N. Dakota. But GW still wins the nomination in a runaway.

I've read rumblings that Libbie Dole could be a VP candidate. Anybody think that has a chance?

They need a tough contest between Bush and McCain so that Bush can get more experience. Otherwise, he may remain a lightweight debater. McCain can't employ that strategy any longer since the primaries are bunched too close together from here on out. The same people who run the Nasdaq computers probably ran the So. Carolina primary --- they ran out of ballots. Democrats never have that problem. They have plenty of marked-up ballots. If McCain wins, he may beat Gore as the better Democrat and pull down the Republicans in Congress.
