Hi Sherlockgerlach,
When the NYSEBP turned negative a couple of weeks ago, most piffers will have evaluated their positions and either sold, hedged or made the decision to ride out the waves. Some of us are more active trader types and we play the ripples. Additionally, many of the sectors are oversold, the NYSEBP is approaching a support level and the SPX is sitting at support. For those of us who like to play the bounces, we may enter long positions. Additionally, with the NYSEBP at relatively low levels, we may be looking for the market to turn up and looking for points of entry on select stocks.

Sitting on the sidelines in a market like this would not be a bad thing to do. Unless one is very agile, whether bear or bull, one could get hurt.
