For what its worth, there was a VERY nasty virus in my office about 3 months ago. 4 of us had it. 2 took antibiotics, 2 used Zicam. The antibiotic guys had the cold first, the Zicam guys (who caught it several weeks later) recovered before the first guys did!

Okay, you persuaded me. I'm now convinced that Zicam is as effective against viruses as antibiotics. If you try real hard, I bet you can get Hank to agree to that also. <g>

"...a VERY nasty virus in my office about 3 months ago. 4 of us had it. 2 took antibiotics, 2 used Zicam."

First of all, antibiotics are designed to inhibit bacterial infections not viral infections. If your co-workers were taking antibiotics then they weren't suffering from any cold virus. Even if they were, antibiotics would have absolutely NO effect.

So yes, genius, Zicam is as effective as antibiotics in treating cold viruses.

"For what its worth,..."

Is it possible for something to be worth less than zero?

"It seems that certain radio personalities (unpaid) went absolutely nuts over Zicam..."

Yeah right. And I'm sure that radio personality doesn't own any GUMM stock either.
