What is proteinomics?

Noticed TCLN on your list. I've been with this one since 1998....watched it go thru lack of financing, delisting threats, dilution, manipulation, mismanagement, almost bankruptcy, inadequate PR...all the ills biotechs are heir to. I averaged down, averaged up, panic sold some shares, gave up in disgust and decided I'd sell this year for tax loss...then lo and behold it started to move up.
Mentioned TCLN on Rat Dogs a month or two ago when it hit $1.00..only response was about high float.
Last week it went to 9 1/2, then settled at 8 1/4.
Bought originally because technology sounded great...Cancer treatment that targets cancer cells without harming surrounding tissue. Here is link to more info:
technicloneinvestors.com
Informative post on Yahoo TCLN #46954 from "Investor CG", one of the more knowledeable old timers. Rest of thread is somewhat zoo-ey as usual. SI is better but not as lively.

Lots of talk about target of $20, 40, 100 etc. High volume...on most active list this past week . New aggressive management, many patents, clinical trials on humans...patients with terminal cancer.
Hard to tell whether recent price run up is part of "biotech wave", momo activity, more manipulation, impending news that someone knows, impending buyout etc...or what? Probably some of each.
Only mention I've found on SI (besides TCLN thread)is on Tokyo Joe..something called Buzz list (who or what is Buzz?) But probably float is too large for much effect from small players...some big money moving here.
Can anyone with Level II tell who is buying?
Some people expect retracement on Tues to 6 or 7....others expect it to keep going up. It could even tank totally, but that seems doubtful at this point.
Personal dilemma: whether to sell some and profit now, buy more , or do nothing and hold what I?ve got for long term. I'm up about $12,000 on paper. If this really does what they say it will, it will be huge...but may take another year or two.

Yet still, I sense manipulation going on. Any opinions here? Thanks.

'Staying ahead of the curve'... easier said than done. Well said. . .now try to stay ahead of a convoluted, twisted, disappearing curve.

protege- not sure about exactly when i started noticing the trend on human genome, but you could have made good money since january 12th, point is someone can mention something but it still doesnt click on the individuals radar screen for whatever reason, but i have found more "early trends" on this thread than anywhere else, for what its worth, i will only be looking at new plays short term in biotech, (proteiomics going to be new buzzword) fibre plays -lptha looking strong, and some selected wireless plays in that order, would have to have a real special story to try anything else short term (other than a few penny trades) but we are into earnings lull, and tightening fed, going to be hard to make any "easy money" till earnings cycle starts up again and fed focus goes down, some of plays that i am holding i like are gblx and idtc, gblx is building a network for the world and i think it is a great long term hold at this entry level, idtc is figuring out a way to unlock their asset value, i think they can go $50-$70 over the next month as their plan unfolds, here is one earlier post that would have alerted you to human genome trend
