Sorry it took me so long to respond to your post. I tried to get on SI for hours last night, but there was some technical problem and I could not. I have been spending many hours pondering whether the tech stock market is going to plunge downwards tomorrow, and I also sort of hate SI at the moment because of the whole police state issue, and it is just really difficult to drag myself here.

Having said all that, I must confess I just watched No Way Out on pay per view, which is a WWF production. I readily agree that it is not actually sport, but as entertainment it is just great. Since I spent most of my life being extremely intellectual, I am finding it fun to relax a bit.

Are you saying that global warming could not be real because only some parts of the globe are getting warm, and others are getting colder? Sorry to take so long to respond about that, but you said something a few posts to me ago that seemed to indicate that might be part of your opinion on the issue.

The two female heads of state in Ireland are presidents, and hold mostly ceremonial roles. I don't know enough about Indira Ghandi's rule of India to really comment, and the Bhuttos seem to be hopelessly corrupt. You might have fun drinking beer with my husband, but if the subject of Maggie Thatcher came up, he feels even more strongly than I do about her. She polarized the situation in Northern Ireland, making it much harder to solve, and most particularly did not recognize the Irish terrorists as political prisoners, calling them common criminals. There were a lot of criminal acts committed during the troubles, but many of them were human rights abuses inflicted by the English government. This has been the decision of the European court (I have forgotten the exact name of this body), and are exemplified by the case covered in the movie "The Name of the Father" as well.

Incidentally, did you know that the 1996 Olympic wrestling gold medal winner, Curt Angle, wrestles for the WWF now?
