I, considering the possibility that it WAS false(i.e., that Cherrypicker was a negative earnings venture), "covered my ass" asap, because I felt I couldn't trust my memory. By realizing, and openly telling that I didn't know for sure, I knowingly lost my chance to discover I was right in the first place(in which event I could have kept my mouth shut, you'd be none the wiser, and I wouldn't be READING this particular illogical train of thought from you now), I thus allowed for one of two possibilities. They are: 1)my original statement was false, or 2)It was true- but this certainly doesn't show there was a purposeful lie, in either case! Clearly we have a different understanding of truth. Let's just close this discussion and agree to disagree. You are a baddie, twisting words and intent without regard for honesty and fair play, I have no desire to twist your words. To the contrary, my goal is to un twist them, and in the process dispel misinformation and reach some semblence of truth. I think Kafka would approve. If TERN's unit sales numbers are a scam, go prove it. My memory says the audited numbers they reported indicate they sold lots more modems in sequential quarters....IF I'm not sorely MISTAKEN here. And If I am mistaken, I'll admit it! LOL! YEEE GADS! Don't worry, I'm on it. As for your memory . . . ah, well, we've already concluded it's a bit unreliable. No, the question in my mind was would you deal with the issue honestly, or keep you vow to refer to it in the misleading way in which no one would ever discover there remains an open invitation into DOCSIS at all. To me, your silence is the wrong answer. My vow not to bring up Terayon's position at CableLabs required that you or anyone else post a definitive statement saying Terayon was included in the current specifications --- a post signed with your real name. Someone, I believe Hassell, suggested I'm shorting Terayon. I've never shorted a stock in my life but am seriously considering it in this case. I'll probably let the Gilder effect die down and then watch for weakness before stepping in. Several events may converge to provide a good opportunity: 1) submission of audited numbers around the middle of March, with the clear possibility of Terayon having to re-state revenues 2) expiration of Rogers and Shaw warrants, I believe towards the end of March 3) weakness after the Gilder effect dies down, 4) possibility of CableLabs publishing some clarification (several are pursuing this now) and 5) the possibility of WSJ doing a follow-up to their earlier TERN story (again, someone actively pursuing this). RE: "I'll give you a break when you say something honest." I'd like to believe that. Alas..experience dictates I cannot. Believe what? That I'll give you a break or that you could say something honest? If the former --- try me. Pat
