If you were a temp operating under this policy, would you:

a) Do the best darn job you could so they might make an exception for you;

b) Focus on acquiring as much portable knowledge as possible so after you were sacked you could go down the street and compete?

Dan-- for YEARS my company has been hireibg temps for 360 days and bringing them back after a minimum of 6 days. Keeps the temps happy as sometines we cut them a little early for a vacation,, just not more than 360 days on the payroll at a time,,, some have been around for years...
