I'm considering Cybercorp as a broker. Can anyone tell me if they permit boxing a short within the same account? That is one of the features I like about Dreyfus: you can hold short and long shares of the same stock at the same time and the software keeps it all straight.

I used 56K for a little while before getting Cable modem. My opinion from using it was that if limited number of screens, it would work OK minus internet congestion. i.e. If you had a private network 56K connection, it might suffice if you limited your style. I also used a laptop which limited screens as well.

However, my conclusion was that it was not appropriate for active daytraders. Good for swing traders maybe.

With cable, when working, I could open lots of screens on 2 19" monitors without a problem.
