Well, you also have to realize that the accuracy of the 600,000 proposed interval could be many thousands of years difference.

Of course, the size of that bulge was a bit disturbing, especially since I live well within the 1600 mile limit - we had smoke and could smell the forest fires for weeks a few years ago when so much of Yellowstone was ablaze.
