STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- SmartServ Online (OTC Bulletin Board: SSOL - news), a leading Web and wireless application services provider, announced today results for the fiscal period ended December 31, 1999. The Company reported that revenues increased to $912,621 and $1,720,913 for the three and six month periods ended December 31, 1999, respectively, versus $344,024 and $693,729 for the three month and six month periods ended December 31, 1998. Revenues from the Company's licensing agreements has been positively influenced by the growth of the subscriber base from 2,100 users at December 1998 to 7,475 users at December 1999.

The Company's loss from operations before certain noncash charges decreased to $107,962 from $592,276 for the three months ended December 1999 and 1998, respectively, and to $161,695 from $914,138 for the six months ended December 31, 1999 and 1998, respectively.

During the three months ended December 31, 1999, the Company incurred noncash charges of $21,362,068, including certain one-time charges of $18,817,800 related to stock-based compensation. Additionally, certain other stock-based compensation matters were significantly impacted by the volatility of the Company's common stock during the period.
