I wouldn't mind McCain if he were trying to recruit people to join the Republican drive to create more opportunity and restrict government power. But McCain is doing just the opposite, recruiting people antithetical to that Republican message. The objects of his affection are those in thrall of big government and protection of the political class. He seems determined to keep the surplus in Washington, where the Dems will spend it.

As for Bauer, he seems very dishonest. His McCain endorsement seemed to shock everyone. It's clear that few believe what he says. He was rejected and he hates the vehicle of that rejection. I hope he fades away if he's still around.
