Gateway no longer offers the Athlon 600, the lowest is now 650 MHz! That is consistent with what you and others have been saying.

The discount will narrow somewhat once AMD wins a few business SKUs but some discount will exist as long as AMD is trying to gain market share from Intel. That point is clearly not in sight.
