Robert, MS-DOS was a short term solution which is still shipped in nearly all desktops. Some people got use to using it and have not been willing to switch. Amazing how many y2k problems could have been solved by scrapping 20 and even 40 year old COBOL main frame systems, but in the end the market couldn;t break away from a working solution.

Yes, WAP is an interim solution, but how long is interim? 2 years, 3 years? WAP is moving fast. How does it scale into the next generation? I don't think your concerns have missed most people's attention, but it just easier to see for now WAP is king.

What hybrid solutions are built is anyone's guess. What power a company who has sold a piece of software into every mobile phone for 1 or 2 years has to evolve to the next platform is also anybodies guess. What is the value of a company that can take a lead in a revolutionary technology change?

Your questions have to be asked, but they're so hard to answer.

Regards,

Mark
