I actually went back to my room to check the market just after the rate cut, not knowing there was any news at all. Thank God I wasn't Short. Being a Day trader I would never have been, while away like that. Looking at the screens when I returned I saw that Short was not able to get out of the position for something like 50 or 70 points!!!! From my database it looks like it was 10/15/98. A run of 68 points from Low to High. Virtually all of it late as I recall. I have to run out for a second else I'd check the chart.
