The "boob point of view". Gee, very impressive analysis there. Now, the polemic you reproduce here seems bent on denying financial realities in the service of some fuzzy all-government-is-bad-government notion. McCain calls his approach the "adult" point of view and I agree. We have a huge aging population and fewer and fewer younger people to pay for the old folks retirement. You're going to be old some day too. This is a population time bomb waiting to explode. This society needs to start saving and retiring the debt is the best place to start--this is Econ 101--any sane economist will agree. McCain wants to face the problem like a disciplined adult, not make false promises of TAX CUTS! TAX CUTS! MANNA FROM HEAVEN! to the faithful.
