Base or no base - I've been lurking here for years - I've stated my odd situation before - I live in Brielle NJ - a mile to the North, West, and South there is Comcast Cable and @Home - they have been offering cable modem access for over two years here - I'm stuck with Cablevision and they have cable modem offerings only in CN and NY. This Saturday - Bell Atlantic - after my checking for months on what broadband services are potentially available to my area - said I had ADSL available to my phone number - I'm jumping on it for $49.95 a month. What does this say for cable modems? I recently sold my meager 300 shares of ATHM - still have 500 HSAC. Is the day of cable modems over as the only game in town for broadband access - and with wireless coming soon - should I dump my HSAC - AH your comment would be appreciated?
