Mike and Thread, Again, thanks to our friends on Yahoo! There is a piece on SanDisk tomorrow in IBD. I read the article over the weekend (I have an IBD subscription) and wasn't really that excited about it. It has positives and negatives in it and it is relatively brief. I didn't think it was composed terribly well. As you read it the flow seems a bit disjointed. My complaints were...The article is lukewarm. 1) SanDisk is not mentioned in the title line. 2) "Sandisk" is not written in the proper, case-sensitive form anywhere in the article. 3) Are we still arguing whether CF is a de facto standard????????????????????? 4) Nice graphs of end-user demand, but no tie-in with the textual portion of the piece. and 5) SDMC is mentioned as an afterthought. There is even a sentence in the article that indicates that flash memory started out strictly as a military application!?! I think the SanDisk company policy should be that for each article or press release written an emphatic statement that underscores SanDisk's contribution to digital photography and mobile computing should be present. For example:SanDisk Corporation, the creator of CompactFlash, the accepted standard in digital film... SanDisk Corporation, the company that brought digital photography into the mainstream... SanDisk Corportation, the world leader in high density flash memory solutions for digital photography and Internet audio... SanDisk Corporation, the company that put "Dig It!" into digital... We need to get the message out and leave no doubt in anybody's mind! No more comparisons to Sony. Let them ride someone elses coattails. No more misspellings. No more politically incorrect case-insensitivity!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may be a bit critical here given my current euphoria with SanDisk in general. I would appreciate differing interpretations of the article. BTW, one interesting update. There are earnings projections of $1.54 for 2000 and $2.11 for 2001 at the end of the article. AusDauer
