Kailash, you are right about gold having industrial uses, but nothing like the industrial supply/demand of silver or the platinum group. Heinz can give you more facts on this than you can wish for.

As to gold, I got a tooth knocked out. I'm sure my dentist would have made the replacement implant tooth out of another material if it was a better cost/ benefit than gold. Given the cost, he could have used anything he wanted as a base, since with the outer skin of a ceramic of some sort, no one would ever know. Wait a minute, I better cut this thing open. -g-
