[U.S. Options - Advanced Radio vols stay high]

CHICAGO, Feb 22 (Reuters) - Implied volatility in options of Advanced Radio Telecom Corp. stayed high on Tuesday after Robertson Stephens started coverage of the broadband wireless Internet protocol service provider on Friday with a buy rating.

Overall implied volatility for the March 35 to 45 calls is about 100 percent, unchanged from Friday, but above its 20-day moving average of around 88, one options analyst said.

The implied vols for the April 35 and 40 calls were also around 100 percent, according to a market maker on the Pacific Exchange. "Historically, that is pretty high," he said.

March 35 puts did not trade on open interest of 10.

The market maker also noted buyers of the March 45 calls.

Options volume on Advanced Radio has increased. "On an average day it trades about 500 contracts," said Lawrence McMillan of McMillan Analysis Corp.

Early Monday, interexchange volume was about 340 contracts, of which 330 were calls and 10 were puts.
