Stock Talk, and all,

What a wonderful and healthy exchange of wonderful experience and information here.

Keep it up, please.

I do not know what I can lend here other than another "neck in the noose prediction". For the S&P 500 march forward contract, expect absolute low near 1325, but truly looking for near reversal next trading day. Upside target near 1460-70 (notice the slop). These are volatile markets, and what more need I say!

Jack has a small-cap watch list too!!

Stay with the party, till its over!

I generally leave parties early!

Jack!!

P.S.--All please be advised that with this market,I am in great danger of being very wrong here and advise certain caution in any trade based upon my casual comments here!

Frank,

I like articles like that, short and to the point. I must say that I think I'm getting much better at being less greedy. And I have you to thank for it since it hasn't hit home until your recent posts on the topic. It seems the last 6 wks or so I must have had 1/2 dozen stocks which I sold that have just flown. Not just stocks that I made small profits on but ones I sold at a loss (CAIR). It's a constant head game (fighting the greedy demons).

I just finished reviewing my recent trades and I see many singles and that feels freaking good. Most of which I'd still be holding & hoping to squeeze out that last buck.

Thanks for motivating me to change my ways. And thank you, Lord, for helping me fight those demons.

Ex-Greedy,
bazan

Frank,

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why a tool that can erase a lot of anguish is not used more often.. trailing stops. If the trade target is for 5 points, the first point can be "secured" with a stop, instead of outright selling the position.. I say this because I believe a traders job is to take little profits in flat/bad markets, but capitalise in good markets. Another option is sell half the position and use the stop on the rest.

When is the last time I used trailing stops.. I can't remember..<g>.
