Yeah, that one looks okay but would be too small for me, I have three outlets on the SU-600 I have now. Don't count too much on that 45 minute stuff, it will probably prove out to be closer or less than the 17 minutes that the spec sheet talks about. But with the software you'll be okay anyway.

The Surge protection would have been very redundant for me as well. I would have triple protection. So those slots would not have been a selling point, I really wanted more outlets with a fair balance of power.

I doubt APC would shill an auction unit. I believe they may be the best known UPS manufacturer in the business. I think I used to follow the stock, years ago. Ran like a bat out of hell. It would split, 9 months later it would split again, then 12 months then 9 again......kinda like watching a family of Irish Twins.

Anyway, I finally decided to stop messing with it and went for the Quick Auction and got this one.

These are the specs.

It retails for $550, so the price wasn't that bad. It'll fill the bill while I wait for something larger. If I never get one no big deal. If one comes along I can throw the SU-600 in my son's room and use this one for the other stuff in here. At this point however it would have to be a Killer UPS, because now the room will be somewhat secure and I'm not in a rush any longer.
