OT - Hi David,

Words of caution are always welcomed. However, there might be such a thing as being overly cautious.

There is a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses which live just up the street. For the last 25-30 years, for as long as I can remember, every time I run into them they would all warn me that the end of the world is coming and that I should repent so that I could meet the Big Guy upstairs. They spend all their time preaching the upcoming dooms day. They spend every day of their lives praying and preparing for the inevitable end of the world. Every night when they go to bed they look at each other and say, "I guess it'll be tomorrow". They don't buy calendars as they see no point to it. They don't plan vacations. They don't check the expiration date on milk cartons. And I guess they are not members of the "book of the month" Club.

The point being that one should enjoy the harvest that is presented to you now. Do not let it rot before your eyes while you sit there waiting for the drought that may never come.

The end of the world is inevitable. We will all meet our maker at some point in time. Why worry about it???

Vince

PS - As far as my neighbours are concerned, I told them since they will be knocking on my door every Saturday morning, they might as well stop by the corner store and pick up my paper, eggs and bacon and bring it over.
