Skeeter, i never argue with my wife. It's just useless. So here's what I tell her- "Yes I'm sorry dear, you are right." Well Skeeter, yes, you have your own opinions that clash inconveniently with the facts, but I'm sorry Skeeter, you are right. If I flip a coin six times and each time it comes up tails, you would assume incorrectly that the odds favor a seventh tail. You would be wrong. Chances remain even 50/50. So there is no way to know whether the best programmer or the best sprinter would be the offspring of Carl Lewis. Was Carl Lewis' father a great cobol programmer?
