<<victor, you believe that 100% of what a human being develops into is natural random probability and their
environment does not matter at all?>>

precisley the opposite. Your Lewis v. programmer argument implies that it is all genetics and no environment or free will by the individual. if Carl Lewis' son or daughter grows up eating potato chips and watching tv, and has no interest in running, and the programmer's kid is too busy surfing the net to eat junk food, well then yes, maybe the programmer's kid would win a 100 yd dash against Carl Lewis' kid!

How can you be so certain of the outcome ?????? I can't!

You said Carl Lewis' offspring at 20 yrs of age!! My sister was an all-Amercan (top 10 ranked in U.S.) distance runner for three years in high school. She was sponsored by New Balance for several yrs. She's run marathons all over the world, all expense paid. Guess what? One of her daughters cares nothing at all about sports- she's an art freak! Any computer programmer around could beat my niece in a 100 yd dash!!!!!

I agree. What about opportunity, stimulus, and motivation?
