I would try looking at RSI (relative strength indicator), at or above 90 range is a good place to start looking for good short candidates. Unfortunately I don't think clearstation.com or any other sites have a quality RSI indicator. You may have to pay up and go with a realtick III broker or the likes.

There is a program called bigeasyinvestor that you can download for free
It has stocks making new highs, double volume, new highs on double volume RSI etc, etc, etc
