Hi Scott,

There are threads on SI for these companies in the $5 and under area.

Here are the two links I found

Subject 19040
Subject 8728

These are not true "isotropic" antennas, but approximately omnidirectional, and very useful for GPS systems for example. You can't make a perfect isotropic antenna because you can't put a vector field on the surface of a sphere without singularities. But it doesn't stop one from developing very useful approximations.

Happy browsing!

Check itechfin.com for ITKG and iascom for IASCA. Both companies are licensed by Univ of West Virginia (?) to use a patented antenna which does not look like any conventional antenna. By the way, I have been designing compact linear antennas for 20+ years. ITKG has government market but recently created a few other designs. IASCA was supposed to have rights to the commercial market. Both companies and the UWV are in patent suit by a former graduate student but WVA patent predates the students patent. Still some issues. I am interested in any discussion on these companies and more posts are on Raging Bull.
