Actually, I've been posting that message on every thread where two people start debating about some guy I've never heard of named Fleck-something and CYMI.......so I guess it is spam.

Seriously folks, BELFA makes a hell of a lot more money that AWRE, and it's really lonely over there, so everyone come on over and party at the BELFA thread and discuss Flecksomebodies opinion about CYMI to your heart's delight!

PacBell internet DSL, 2.5 weeks and counting.....

DSL Equipment Sales Soar with Service Provider Price Cuts According to a Dell'Oro Group Report; Alcatel Continues to Dominate the DSL Market with 30% Market Share

PORTOLA VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2000--The DSL
Market continued to show impressive growth in 4Q99 growing 41% quarter
over quarter to $536M, according to a recently published Dell'Oro
Group Report.

Propelling the growth in 4Q were the DSL Service Providers who
began to engage in market penetration pricing tactics. "Many of these
service providers missed the groundswell of Internet subscriptions
during the mid-90's, and they plan to lead the migration to high-speed
Internet services," says Tam Dell'Oro, founder of Dell'Oro Group.
"With aggressive pricing tactics, DSL service providers can lure tens
of millions of new DSL subscribers during 2000."

Benefiting from the strong growth in the DSL market were
equipment manufacturers like Alcatel, Cisco and Lucent. Other
companies showing significant growth in 4Q were Efficient Networks,
Nortel, and Copper Mountain. There is no doubt that this technology
segment holds the promise of delivering significant gains for Service
Providers and Equipment Manufacturers alike, the question is whether
or not they can keep up with and fulfill demand.

Analog Devices Fuels Worldwide Deployment Of ADSL

ADI's industry-leading ADSL chipsets power 8 out of the world's top 10 PSTN

markets

NORWOOD, Mass., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Analog Devices announced today that its leading ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) chipset solutions are fueling the growth of mass worldwide deployment of ADSL. Now, ADSL services in eight of the top ten PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) markets in the world will be powered by Analog Devices' ADSL chipsets including the networks of USA, China, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, South Korea and Brazil.

Analog Devices' chipsets are the basis of ADSL solutions currently being deployed in multiple regions by worldwide and regional partners such as 3Com Corporation, Cisco Systems, ECI Telecom, Samsung, Hyundai Electronics Industries, Lucent Technologies, Newbridge Networks, Nortel Networks, Marconi and Efficient Networks. According to a recent analyst reporti, international markets represent the fastest growing segments of ADSL deployment with estimated compound annual growth rates (CAGR) from 1999-2003 of an averaged 63% for central office (CO) ports shipped and 63% and 79% for customer premise equipment (CPE) ports. These rates are compared to US CAGR rates of 44.3% for CO ports and 63.1% for CPE.

France Telecom's selection of ECI Telecom's Hi-FOCuS(TM) Broadband Access Solutions is the latest in a series of recent international deployment announcements made by companies using ADI's ADSL chipset solutions. Last month, Hyundai Electronics Industries announced that it has been chosen by Korea Telecom to supply its ADSL-based SpeedXess(TM) DSL Access Multiplexer for delivering fast Internet and Leased Line services to both residential and business subscribers. This follows another ECI Telecom announcement that German Deutsche Telekom AG has awarded the company new orders for ECI Telecom's Hi-FOCuS system. ECI Telecom's Hi-FOCuS systems are being deployed by Deutsche Telekom to deliver broadband Internet, video, and multimedia services to subscribers throughout Germany in the year 2000. ECI Telecom's Hi- FOCuS system, based on ADI's industry-leading ADSL chipsets, has also been selected by Sichuan PCI in China.

Another ADI customer, Newbridge Networks, has announced a variety of deployments of its 3DSL and MainStreetXpress solutions at Cable & Wireless U.K., Deutsche Telecom, Eircom, France Telecom, Guangdong PTA, Hanaro Telecom, Kingston Communications, Monaco Telecom, and Telus (BC Telecom).

"These announcements demonstrate that Analog Devices' ADSL technology is recognized by the industry as the most dependable and interoperable foundation for the world's largest deployments and most complex configurations of ADSL," said Russ Johnsen, Analog Devices' vice president and general manager, Communications Products Division, Analog Devices. "With each new deployment internationally, Analog Devices is fueling the growth of ADSL worldwide by offering solutions and support to meet the needs of the industry today, while protecting investment and ensuring reliability into tomorrow."

Analog Devices' ADSL chipsets can be configured for either full rate or G.lite operation and represent the only ADSL chipset solutions that offer widespread interoperability shipping today. Three generations of chipsets are based on DMT (discrete multi-tone) technology that comply with international standards including American National Standards Institute (ANSI) T1.413 and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) G.992.2 and G.992.1 standards.
