Dear Pat,

That article is primarily about Symetrix Corporation, a privately held R&D company that license their patented technology to the FRAM manufacturers.

In order to evaluate the potential revenue for Ramtron from FRAM, I think there are a few questions that need to be considered:

1) What is the commercial relationship if any (cross - licensing etc) between Symetrix and Ramtron.
2) Who is actually holding the patented technology in strontium bismuth tandalate (SBT/ Y1- FRAM) Symetrix or Ramtron? Do they have competing claims. Is Ramtron's patents based on SBT or PZT FRAM (SBT being superior in performance.
3) Does Symetrix have any intention of becoming a publicly traded company?

I would be grateful if anybody can provide the pieces to this puzzle.

Paul
