That's what I figured. I try similar stuff for charts comparing certain stocks to their Sector. Like RMBS /SOX on QCharts. I never multiplied it because I'm just looking at a trendline. It's a nice RSI tool.

I'm not as piffed up about the Point and Figure use of it. I know DWA uses it, but I'm still in the mode where I can see the RSI better using the line. A nice use of it, I think, is to compare the stock to the Sector then compare the sector to the SPX.

It lends an impression of how the stock is doing compared to the sector then tells you how strong the sector is. Plotting RMBS /SOX then SOX /SPX is a startling picture for example.
