JAWS Technologies to Create Online Training & Knowledge Management
Program for Security Professionals Alliance with Fifth Era Knowledge
Corp., led by new Vice President, will lead to development of JAWS
managed security services extranet

JAWS Technologies Inc. (JAWZ: OTC-BB) is pleased to announce that it has
initiated the development of a comprehensive knowledge management program, which
will be utilized for on-line training, education, best practices and competency
analysis for current and future employees. ``Security is a dynamic and growing
problem, of which no silver bullet exists. Knowledge is the primary weapon in
defending our clients against the risk of information security breaches,' said
Robert Kubbernus, Chairman and CEO, JAWS Technologies.

``This concept, called JAWS University, streamlines our numerous efforts in IT
education. For the past year, we have delivered the IT Security Course in the
Computer Science and Criminology Departments at Florida State University, and
have been working with two other universities in North America to develop
meaningful curriculum,' said Kubbernus. ``As well with our recent acquisition
in New Jersey, we are now educating law enforcement and military personnel in
both cybercrime and computer forensics.'

To lead this initiative, Kubbernus is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
Greg Surbey, as Vice President of Knowledge Resources. Surbey brings 20 years of
IT Educational experience to JAWS Technologies, and has worked for organizations
including TELUS, ISM, GE Capital and most recently as Vice President of Sales
for Knowledge Alliance Inc. Focusing in IT, Surbey has implemented learning
methodologies on a variety of platforms including web and computer-based
knowledge management systems.

``JAWS University will encapsulate competency analysis, learning management and
best practices in a web enabled portal. I am particularly excited about leading
this bold training initiative in a market where education must move at
light-speed. Everyday, companies engage in business-to-business and
business-to-consumer e-commerce, and the information security needs for one
client can be totally different for another. What we're doing is teaching our
security experts to assess a client's information needs so that the proper tools
are implemented relative to the needs of the customer. We are an information
security solutions provider, not simply a product developer.'

To facilitate this development, JAWS has signed a strategic alliance with Fifth
Era Knowledge Corporation (SYR: CDNX) to build JAWS Online University and to
maximize use of each other's leading edge technologies. Online University will
provide JAWS clients and employees easy and convenient access to JAWS
intellectual property. The first offering produced for JAWS Online University
will use Fifth Era's proprietary Incode technology, and will be a series of
training courses dealing with Internet professional security services, the
company's migration to managed security services and JAWS security software
products.

Kubbernus also stated ``the work that Greg Surbey has been undertaking with
Fifth Era will also allow us a new revenue growth driver over the next few
months, by taking this web-based knowledge management program one major step
further into a customer-centric extranet. Effectively, we have been working in a
managed security services model, so by offering our intellectual property 24 x
7, combined with our professional security services, this a natural step in
building our company. In fact, it can help to minimize the limited restraints of
time and location from our security professionals. However, it is also important
to note that through JAWS University, we can continue to develop our own talent
pool-this will be especially valuable in the integration stage of our aggressive
growth by acquisition strategy.'
