Aqua Clara Announces Results of 3rd Quarter Ended January 1, 2000; Management
Discusses Results of Operations

CLEARWATER, Fla., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Aqua Clara Bottling and
Distribution, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: AQCB) manufacturers of Aqua Clara
800% oxygen-enriched premium bottled water, have announced the results of
operations for the quarter ending January 1, 2000. Released on February 15,
2000, the figures for the 3rd quarter reflect additional positive trends that
started this fiscal year. Although certain adjustments not taken from prior
quarters are reflected in this filing, Aqua Clara is continuing on the path of
reduced liabilities and increased assets.
Aqua Clara's losses from operations were reduced approximately 31% over
the same quarter prior year, from ($796,372) on January 2, 1999 to ($547,245)
on January 1, 2000. The basic loss per share was reduced 80% from (.10) on
January 2, 1999 to (.02) on January 2, 2000. Both current and total
liabilities have been dramatically reduced over prior periods.
"The Company is definitely on the right track and we believe this will
become even more evident in the fourth quarter," stated E.J. Mersis, CEO of
Aqua Clara Bottling and Distribution, Inc. "We have managed during the last
two quarters to gain a firm grasp on our expenses, thereby continuing to
reduce them, while at the same time, implementing new and additional sales
venues through our associations with Crossmark, VISIT FLORIDA, and FLA USA. I
believe we will begin seeing the results of these relationships as well as our
continued efficiencies when the fourth quarter's results are released. I am
both pleased with what we have done and optimistic about the upcoming quarter
and the next fiscal year.
During the 3rd quarter, Aqua Clara entered into two separate affiliations
to assist with both marketing and distribution. In December, Aqua Clara
launched the Aqua Clara/FLA USA-branded bottled water in a first-of-its-kind
marketing partnership. Aqua Clara Bottling & Distribution, Inc., VISIT
FLORIDA and Florida Media, Inc. have teamed up to jointly and exclusively
market the new bottled water brand. The partnership with VISIT FLORIDA, the
State of Florida's official tourism marketing entity, provides a means for
developing significant brand recognition through the use of the FLA USA logo.
VISIT FLORIDA, the state's official tourism marketing organization, has
endorsed this quality product with its FLA USA logo, which is displayed on the
front of every Aqua Clara/FLA USA water bottle.
Florida Media, Inc., the state's largest magazine publishing company, has
become involved in an extensive promotional campaign with VISIT FLORIDA and
Aqua Clara. The branded water will be featured monthly in Florida Media's
Florida Living Magazine, the only statewide lifestyle publication in the
Sunshine State, with nearly 182,000 subscribers in all 50 states and 34
countries. A selection of Florida Media's 14 other publications will also
feature the Aqua Clara/FLA USA bottled water and take the product's message
into more than one million homes.
Aqua Clara also announced in the 3rd quarter that Crossmark, a national
broker with blue chip consumer products and foods sold in supermarkets and
other mass merchants, will be representing Aqua Clara 800% oxygen-enriched
premium bottled water throughout Florida. Crossmark currently impacts three
billion retail transactions and generates $12 billion in annual sales. Some
of the brands Crossmark currently represents include Nabisco Foods, Pillsbury
Company, Reynolds Metals Inc., L'Oreal, Royal Oak Charcoal, and now Aqua
Clara.
