Cirrus, I went by my local screwdriver shop. They had some slot one to socket convertors come in. I asked why would you want those, and he said, didn't you hear? there isn't going to be any more slot ones. How many slot one motherboards will be trashed with no CPUs? Has anyone seen HP Cumine 800 systems lately? On my last visit to CompUSA in NYC I saw what other people are reporting from other parts of the country: There was a space with label HP (whatever) 800, but there was no computer there. But all of the other HP computers were Intel based. This was last week. I will probably be at CompUsa again today or tomorrow. I will report on whether the new Athlon based HP machines showed up. Joe
