Yeah I know what you are talking about. That wasn't mainstream America. That was hardcore homeless. A very small %. To suggest that would go on in a grand scale is just wrong.

Washington Post had an article in the last couple of weeks about people living in their cars and homeless shelters in Silicon Valley. They were all either employed in the tech sector but not making enough money to afford housing, or had just been let go from a job and trying to find something new. These were people who were used to earning a lot of money, relatively speaking, one guy had been making $80K.
