Most people with any experience at all consider the risks of handling a saw to be a very serious matter. I have known men who handled chain saws for thirty years and who were squeemish about recommending it to other members of their family just because of the risk factors under normal conditions. When putting it in the light of this criticism of spikers, however, you seem to be attempting to make it a walk in the park. So, I'm accusing you of parsing.
