Very possible, but I think that certain powers want the sustained use of oil (please don't let c. horn know I said this, or I will have to prove my positions on the Kook Test thread).

I worked on the electric car at one of the big three for about a year. Then it died when oil prices went down. I have heard stories about patents for super-efficient electric/gas hybrids being bought up to prevent anyone from making them (See first note, same applies here).

Oil will be around for a while, but better solutions are out there. I have to believe that the recent effort by Honda is turning some heads.

Good trading, now I really have to go make cars.
