JDSU looking good--3 weeks to a stock split seems to be the new run up period (i think it used to be 2 weeks). One can probably play this strategy with a lot of companies as long as they are not expected to disappoint in earnings. Hoping we add to our existing gains (or at least not lose much) in the last hour.

Another good thing is the fact that the markets have been correcting recently. In a way it provides a base for JDSU to move higher. I would have been a bit nervous if Nasdaq was at 5000 or 5500 right about now.

OT OT OT OT OT...

I'm not really criticizing your strategy. I do something similar. I'm just pointing out that you are timing the market. You're just advising people to do so with only 10% of their funds.

Again, I'd say it isn't really market timing, because I'm not actually trying anticipate what the market will be doing. Rather, I'm looking at where the market is in relation to where it has been, and rebalancing my cash to equity ratio.

When it comes down to, I suppose it all depends on your definition of "timing". Really, we're all trying to achieve the same thing, aren't we?

Cheers!
