you forgot to mention that the attempt to knock down the PoG failed miserably...
the closing trin came in at 0,61.

another buyback announced...by VISX. all the POS's that had their stock prices smacked, Wells Fargo too, and Kimberley Clarke are announcing buybacks now.
note that all these stocks are still at insane valuations...i don't buy the argument that they are 'cheap' just because they are down between 30-70% from their highs. it's just that the managers think they can get their options in the money quicker if they do buybacks (and incur debt). note however that there's a plethora of cos out there the stocks of which have plunged in spite of massive buybacks over the past year.
