bp: to make certain there are adequate funds in your account to cover the trade! On a sell order??? I doubt it. ML has many of these internal review processes. For example, if you place stock index option for greater than 10 contracts or a equity stock option for more than 100 contracts, the FC can't submit it directly to market he has to call a certain trader to place order. I learn to request multiple smaller orders with FC. On ML ONLINE, this happens on large orders if they do not make a market in the stock like RMBS. Someone from ML is going to have to give me a good reason to hold such large orders capriceously. It takes enough time to place one order through internet, I surely don't want to place several smaller orders in a rapidly changing market. john
