Been thinking about this issue for a long time. Logan always maintained that prices would hold up, but I guess he had greater faith in the lawyers than I did. Who knows what the result will be (particularly the competitive response), but my guess is VISX just locked in 70 percent market share for the next year or so. How fast does overall market grow from here? One analyst was quoted on CNBC as saying this move is the equivalent of a cyanide pill, but LVC market should be elastic. Y2K revenue guesses anyone?
