The problems with the Intel 840 and 820 chip sets are irrelevant. If you don't run them in the mode that tries to catch and detect memory errors, they let you run uninterrupted until you encounter a Windows crash which then wipes out the evidence of the undetected memory errors. No harm, no foul. -g-
