Tell me, since you purport to be an attorney, what did you think of the $2 billion Alabama verdict against BMW for a bad paint job, the majority of that awarded under the state's common law of punitive damages? A good thing, or something that some branch of the federal government had to overturn?

What about the Jim Crow laws? Should states be allowed to create segregated public schools if that is what the majority of local people want?

I'm curious as to what your actual thoughts are on this, because you seem representative of those who so believe that local government is good government. I think this merits a serious answer.
