AOL, Qualcomm Most Active Stocks for Ameritrade Customers

Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- America Online Inc.
and Qualcomm Inc. were the two most-actively traded stocks by
customers of No. 6 online broker Ameritrade Holding Corp.,
representing 36 percent of customer transactions.

AOL, the world's largest Internet service provider,
represented 19 percent of Ameritrade customer's transactions in
the first six weeks of 2000, while Qualcomm represented 17
percent, according to Ameritrade's Online Investor Index. All of
the top 10 stocks were Internet, telecommunications or computer
companies.

Other companies included in the top 10 were Lucent
Technologies Inc., JDS Uniphase Corp. and Cisco Systems Inc.

Ameritrade established the online investor index in
September. Ameritrade draws data for the index from its more than
686,000 active accounts. The index was introduced to help gauge
what stocks online investors ar
