I think they are positive, but I wouldn't try to prove it because I do not think it can be proved. If you try to prove that we are "advancing" morally then I say you are stepping into the realm of faith. No one can live with out a little faith- i.e. that when I put my foot down it won't float away (I trust in gravity to be the way it has been before this minute), I assume my toothbrush is where I left it, etc.... But I wouldn't try to prove it. I thought a lot about trying to prove things that are (I think now) unprovable. I used to think that some things were "good" and other things were "evil" but I came to realize there was absolutely no extrinsic justification for that. I pretend there is one, I lead my life as if there is good and evil but I don't believe in it. I feel like an actress. I am an actress. I understand everything you are saying I merely come to different conclusions.
