A very few? Well let's say they fight until one male dies or is driven off- then we can say almost all males that have harems can be included. Quadrupeds, Apes, Seals, Lions, and the list goes on. I don't see how you can say it is a very few species, because it isn't. It isn't every species- but I merely said it's what animals do- I didn't mean it's what ALL animals do. Birds, for example, don't do a lot of bloodletting in the courtship department. But mammals can be a bit violent.
