Buck,

You're right, dual monitor support is native in the OS. I first used dual monitors on a Mac 12 years ago, I believe. I run dual (analog) monitors every day at my office, but now I want to use two 22" FPDs, which require digital video cards. Apple supplies one digital output card and 3 PCI slots. I don't know if I can drive a second digital monitor through a video card in a PCI slot.

I use a 21" monitor on my home system now, but I don't like being so cramped. Dual 21" CRTs are a possibility, but that's a lot of cubic inches. Dual 22" flat panels take up very little desk space and offer lots of viewing space. The only 22" FPDs I know of are Apple's, which require the digital video card. Anyone know of another brand?
