Question for the thread. Is or has there been any conversation about digital assistant operating systems (such as Symbian, Palm, etc.) as potential G&K candidates? If so, or if anyone knows of another source for this, would much appreciate a link. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that is one big reason that I retired from engineering this year. The companies I worked for in the last 6 years outsourced all of the engineering design projects that I would have loved to work on. I was stuck doing mainly paperwork, specifications and procedures. Boring work.
