Just in passing, the Register comes back with a more subdued Transmeta reference. I share their skepticism, Transmeta is cool and everything, but they don't exactly have a clear field competition wise. Not that that matters for a hypothetical IPO, in current markets, if they got enough hype. Climbing losses are as good as climbing profits, if you're in the right place on the internet wave. Ericsson uses NatSemi WebPAD for Linux screen phone theregister.co.uk Meanwhile the predicted waves of Taiwanese companies supporting Transmeta's Crusoe and Mobile Linux for information appliances seems strangely silent.
